Position Overview:
The Technical service Specialist for a construction chemical company is responsible for managing and overseeing all technical documentation related to product formulations, safety data sheets (SDS), technical data sheets (TDS), compliance certifications, and regulatory documents. The role ensures that all technical documents are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with both internal standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management:
Organize, manage, and maintain technical documents, including product specifications, formulations, testing reports, certifications, and quality control documents.
Work closely with R&D, production, quality control, and regulatory teams to gather required documentation and ensure that all technical documentation aligns with product formulations and specifications.
Ensure that all technical documents are easily accessible, properly indexed, and stored securely.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
Collaborate with - product line manager- team to maintain up-to-date documentation for product approvals and certifications.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Review and verify the accuracy and consistency of all technical documents before release.
- Conduct internal audits on technical documentation to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
4. Archiving and Records Management:
- Maintain a structured system for archiving and storing documents, ensuring compliance with legal retention requirements.
- Ensure that obsolete documents are properly archived or disposed of according to company policy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or engineering or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in technical document management or materials QC inspector or lap officer, in the construction chemical industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in document management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, experience in Autocade is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical data and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English language).
- Knowledge of construction chemicals, their applications, and relevant industry standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices in the construction chemicals industry is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Office-based, with occasional site visits.
- Collaborative and cross-functional working environment.
- May require flexibility in working hours to meet deadlines or respond to urgent requests.
