Job Purpose

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in a safe training environment on aircraft, equipment, and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia supports the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation and developing Saudi National capabilities through local Partner Companies, reinforcing industrialisation and partnerships.

The Technical Services Specialist – (Workability and Task Monitor) will:

  • Deliver technical services to superiors, Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMO), and customers, supervising personnel involved in technical activities as required.
  • Support the integration and improvement of Technical Services domains, ensuring compliance with Continuing Airworthiness (CA) requirements, Approved Data, and maintaining independence from the AMO.
  • Assist in developing mitigations for tactical and strategic management of critical assets, focusing on aircraft availability KPIs to enhance performance towards ESD 2030.
  • Based in KAAB, support the Workability Team Leader to ensure asset solutions and mitigations are optimized to reduce asset criticality and maintain/increase aircraft availability.
  • Support operational and management reviews at KAAB.
Job Accountabilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Workability Team Leader to optimize RSAF fleet asset availability and reduce criticality.
  • Developing tactical solutions to improve asset and platform availability through to ESD.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders, including RSAF, MODSAP, PC teams, and Tornado core program personnel, to support integration and mitigation activities.
  • Providing regular reports on findings, status, achievements, and performance indicators to stakeholders.
Recruitment Specification
Essential
  • Recognized qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Extensive proven maintenance experience or relevant CA/maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness, aircraft types, and maintenance environment.
  • Practitioner level skills in Technical Services and Instructions management.
  • Proven supervisory experience in a CA environment.
  • Strong background in fast jet operational support, aircraft engineering, and maintenance standards.
  • Experience managing stakeholders within MODSAP and RSAF.
Desirable
  • NVQ5/BTEC/HND or Degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Professional membership (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers, Royal Aeronautical Society).
  • Excellent communication skills, tactfulness, and confidence.
  • Ability to work independently resolving technical issues.
  • Broad aerospace industry knowledge and familiarity with MS Office.
Additional Skills
  • Practitioner knowledge of Tornado aircraft and AGE.
  • Knowledge of aircraft modifications, technical instructions, and PtM Technical Services.
