- Provide engineering support during aircraft entry into service and certificate of airworthiness renewals (Airworthiness/Modifications Records Reviews).
- Support in issues and queries related to the Aircraft Avionics, Airframe Systems and Powerplant within the area of expertise.
- Consult with Type Certificate Holders (TCHs), Design Approval Holders (DAHs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) regarding Aircraft Maintenance Program development and queries, Defect Rectifications, Design Changes and Aircraft Reliability within the area of expertise.
- Provide Engineering support in the development of Maintenance Programs.
- Assess incoming Airworthiness Directives (AD), Manufacturer Service Documents, Modifications and Design Changes associated with Maintenance Programs within the area of expertise and create Engineering Orders accordingly.
- Consult with planning and maintenance teams for Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Manufacturer Service Documents for accomplishment based on analysis of maintenance operations and financial cost-benefit analysis.
- Maintain airworthiness directive, manufacturer Service Documents and Design Changes database.
- Identification of obsolescence issues as appropriate and work with the Maintenance and Planning to provide a resolution.
- Classify and coordinate with the Design Organization Approval Organizations (DOA), Organization Designation Authorization (DOA), TC Holder, Manufacturer, and GACA on design changes acceptance/validation/approval.
- Investigate defects trend and operational data to measure the effectiveness of maintenance program and support Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS).
- Review and update aircraft system diagnostic and prognostic monitoring tools and systems with a view to recommending corrective actions necessary to avoid unscheduled maintenance and no fault found events.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to work and information.
