Expro is currently seeking Technical Drilling Sales Manager to be located in Saudi Arabia.
Overall Purpose of the Job
To deliver new and profitable business across area of responsibility. Provide technical support to the Client and Operation teams within area of responsibility. Ensure that the appropriate technical solutions are developed to satisfy client requirements whilst maximising company product line and expertise. Provide correct technical input to enable appropriate sales strategies to be developed. Measure and report on business activities. Ensure company HSEQ and policies, procedures and any related legislation is complied with and achieve optimal service quality to achieve client satisfaction.
Key Activities And Accountabilities
- Identify opportunities for marketing the technology and seeking new business then develop appropriate strategies for delivering them in conjunction with the Business Development Manager.
- Responsible for pre-planning support comprising of Inova and Well Plan modelling, liaise with service providers, contractors and arranging Peer Reviews.
- Perform work scope of drilling engineering within the company specific product line. Meet with clients and potential customers to offer solutions packages utilising product line tools and equipment.
- Respond to tender and quotation requests ensuring that commercial evaluations, business cases and compilation of BER’s are actioned.
- Establish regular liaison with clients. Support Operations teams in driving improvements and opportunities for increasing revenue.
- Assist the project team in subsurface planning of drilling tools in wells & Support Package development, technical limit & benchmarking, cost estimates, OMAR notifications and other permits.
- Ensure best practice associated with industry technical standards is always maintained. Support pre and post job briefings to ensure best practice is in place, known and followed; teams engaged and understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Provide drilling engineering support including development of detailed well design, programs that include drilling products and a drill the well on paper exercise. Support well design and execution of performance improvement efforts utilising Expro Drilling tools suite.
- Develop presentations on product line for delivery to clients or potential clients and undertake meetings and technology gatherings that provide an opportunity to circulate information on the company products and their capabilities.
- Provide forecast and budget support to Product Line and Region organisation and also budget support to and required reports as per schedule and ensure Salesforce database is kept up to date.
- Liaise with internal and external departments as and when required to ensure all information is circulated as appropriate also client questions and queries are resolved in a timely manner. Liaise with manager on any issues or concerns.
- Monitor operations and provide support during the well execution phase. Capture lessons learned and provided improvement opportunities to clients.
- Interface with supporting groups to develop detailed studies needed to support project readiness. Example of these studies will be well bore stability, P&A, completion design, and how drilling products will improve on operational efficiency.
Job Knowledge And Qualifications
- Extensive experience and technical knowledge of relevant equipment and services.
- 8+ years work experience within Technical or Sales role preferably in line with a company product line.
- Proficient in MS Word, Data Bases and PowerPoint.
- Financial Awareness preferable in relation to tender/quotation/ budget process.
- Proficient in MS Office and Well planning software including but not limited to INOVA, Well Plan.
