The Role

As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a landmark aviation project in Jeddah, the Project Technical Manager will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and integration of all technical disciplines throughout the project lifecycle. This key leadership role will ensure that design and engineering deliverables are aligned with project requirements, regulatory standards, and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all technical disciplines including architecture, civil, structural, MEP, ICT, security, and special systems across various project phases.
  • Act as the main technical interface between the client, design consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Review technical submittals, design packages, and engineering reports to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Lead design review meetings, technical workshops, and coordination sessions to resolve issues and drive design development.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines, standards, and budgets.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); a Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • 15+ years of technical management experience on large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects.

Key Knowledge and Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of international codes and standards (ICAO, IATA, GACA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple technical streams and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and design coordination platforms (e.g., BIM, AutoCAD, Revit).
