Qualifications

- Lead the technical office team including quantity surveyors, planners, draftsmen, and document controllers.
- Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and RFIs before submission to consultants.
- Coordinate between engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design consistency and implementation feasibility.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely approvals.
- Oversee and validate quantity surveying and cost estimation processes for accuracy and alignment with project budgets.
- Manage the preparation of as-built drawings, project handover documentation, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with all technical standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Develop and monitor schedules for shop drawing submissions, material approvals, and technical documentation.
- Conduct value engineering and participate in design optimization when needed.
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee technical training and performance development within the team.
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and technical office management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, BS, etc.).
- Proficient in engineering and project management software (AutoCAD, Primavera, Revit, MS Project, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
