Arabian Rig Manufacturing's training centre in Ras Al-Khair is hiring a Technical Instructor (Electro-Technical subjects). As an ARM instructor, you will be part of NOV's international technical environment, serving customers worldwide. Our activities include training at our Ras Al-Khair facilities, simulators, on-site, offshore, and at other NOV centres globally. You will teach participants from diverse backgrounds and stay updated on the latest technologies.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing and delivering courses on electro-technical topics such as Siemens PLC, ABB VFD, NOV Control Systems Amphion/Cyberbase, and NOV drilling equipment.
  2. Developing training programs based on organizational needs.
  3. Creating training schedules and conducting classroom and online sessions.
  4. Providing on-site training both onshore and offshore.
  5. Developing training materials like presentations and worksheets.
  6. Executing webinars, workshops, and individual training sessions.
  7. Maintaining training equipment and simulators.
  8. Updating training curricula and documentation.
  9. Ensuring safety protocols are followed at the start of each class.
  10. Traveling domestically and internationally for training purposes.
  11. Completing administrative tasks related to training programs.
  12. Monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness and making improvements.
  13. Upholding quality standards for training delivery.
  14. Fostering professional communication and relationships.

Experience and Skills Required:

  1. Rig experience with NOV equipment and control systems (Amphion/Cyberbase).
  2. Experience with NOV drilling equipment and systems.
  3. Proficiency in Siemens PLC S7 and ABB VFD drives (800, 880).
  4. Previous experience as a technical instructor is preferred.
  5. Ability to design technical course content.
  6. Working knowledge of MS Office.
  7. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  8. Degree in a relevant electrical technical field.
  9. Technical knowledge of ABB, Siemens, and NOV systems.
