A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Promote Medtronic products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts.
  • Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, partnering with physicians and hospital personnel on products and solutions.
  • Support technical/clinical needs at hospitals, including therapy indications, implant support, and patient follow-up.
  • Provide technical expertise through presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Conduct on-site education and consulting; support the establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
  • Travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings. The employee must be independently mobile during duties.
  • Communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to recommend enhancements in sales processes, product launches, and optimize clinical support pathways.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Stay updated on new products, solutions, and patient management offerings for ongoing technical development.
  • Participate in cross-functional assignments.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in the medical device industry or hospital environment.
  • Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and arrhythmias.
  • Experience supporting electrophysiology procedures.
  • Familiarity with Cathlab environment: sterilization and radiation protocols.
  • Knowledge of current products, technologies, and market trends.
  • Ability to teach and educate medical personnel, peers, and technical support staff.

Nice to Haves

  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry.
  • Hospital or clinic experience.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced, organized manner while meeting deadlines.
