Receive payment by cash, credit cards, coupons, or automatic debits.

Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.

Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.

Deliver hospitality to every customer.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1. Handle cash, debit/credit transactions with customers.
2. Punch all items in the register then collect payments.
3. Ensure to state the correct bill to the customer.
4. Give proper change and receipt to the customer.
5. Redeem coupons as per company guidelines.
6. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
7. Make sure to suggest sell or sell up products and introduce new ones.
8. Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
9. Bag items carefully.
10. Always smile and greet customers when entering or leaving the establishment.
11. Always maintain a clean POS area.
12. Keep reports of transactions.
13. Process returns and check to see if items are damaged.
14. Answer customers' questions and get a manager if the answer doesn't solve the issue.
15. Bag, box, or wrap packages.
16. Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction.
17. Double check always for fake notes; if in doubt, call the managers.
18. Deliver outstanding service to every customer.
19. Prepare products as per standard procedures.
20. Adhere to food safety standards.
21. Suggestive sell or sell up to maximize sales growth.
22. Maintain a professional image and behavior.
23. Demonstrate honesty and integrity toward work.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Proven working experience in retail cashiering or sales.
2. Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners).
3. Strong communication and time management skills.
4. Customer satisfaction-oriented.
5. Sales skills.
6. High school degree.
