Position: Painting Team Leader

Responsibilities include leading and supervising the painting team to execute tasks according to quality standards, timelines, and safety protocols. The Team Leader ensures optimal resource use, adherence to procedures, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

Main Accountabilities

  1. Plan and assign daily tasks based on production schedules and project priorities.
  2. Estimate materials and man-hours needed; ensure timely availability of supplies.
  3. Mix and prepare paint per specifications, ensuring accurate color matching.
  4. Oversee surface preparation, priming, painting, and finishing tasks.
  5. Conduct quality checks during and after painting; report and address issues.
  6. Ensure protective covers are in place before starting work.
  7. Supervise and inspect painters and helpers, ensuring standards are met and corrective actions are taken.
  8. Train new team members on policies, techniques, safety, and procedures.
  9. Maintain workspace cleanliness and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition.
  10. Promote and enforce HSE guidelines on-site and in the workshop.
  11. Suggest improvements for productivity, quality, and equipment performance.
  12. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and painting methods to maintain quality.
  13. Implement 5S and Lean management principles to optimize workflows.
  14. Follow safety policies and procedures in accordance with HSE standards.
Experience and Education
  • 4 to 6 years managing painting activities.
  • Secondary school education.
Languages
  • English and Hindi.
Systems
  • Basic computer skills: Word, Excel.
Technical & Functional Skills
  • Knowledge of paint application equipment, pretreatment systems, and productivity improvement practices.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate painting activities effectively.
  • Experience with color identification and paint mixing.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Technical knowledge of painting equipment and processes.
