Job Description: Team Leader - Carpentry & Production

At Electra, we seek talented individuals who share our strategy to be the preferred partner for local and international clients planning events within the GCC.

Under the supervision of the Manager, the Team Leader will oversee the execution of production activities, including build-up and dismantling. The role involves managing workforce, materials, tools, equipment, and logistics to ensure projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Handle projects independently, ensuring fabrication and installation align with schedules.
    • Participate in production meetings to discuss progress and resolve issues.
    • Order materials and resources timely, following company procedures.
  2. Manpower and Material Management:
    • Calculate required manpower and request personnel accordingly.
    • Estimate and order materials with accurate technical specifications.
  3. Job Allocation and Process Adherence:
    • Assign tasks to team members, ensuring compliance with fabrication standards.
    • Follow established processes for efficiency.
    • Provide technical solutions to improve production.
  4. Equipment and Tools Management:
    • Ensure availability and proper functioning of tools and machinery.
    • Regularly inspect and maintain equipment.
  5. Quality Control and Materials Management:
    • Monitor quality during production and installation.
    • Oversee material usage for cost efficiency.
  6. Budget and Estimation Compliance:
    • Adhere to project budgets and timelines.
    • Report deviations and implement corrective actions.
  7. Logistics and Documentation:
    • Ensure timely submission of logistics and material requests.
    • Track materials to prevent delays.
  8. Worker Management and Development:
    • Lead and motivate workers, promoting effective time management.
    • Train workers on new techniques and safety practices.
  9. Workplace Organization:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
    • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of tools and machinery.
  10. 5S and Lean Management:
    • Implement 5S principles and lean techniques to optimize workflows.
  11. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
    • Follow safety policies and procedures in accordance with HSE standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years experience as a team leader or senior carpenter.
  • ITI certification.
  • Educational qualification: +2 (junior college).
  • Languages: English and Hindi.
  • Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, AutoCAD, SketchUp.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Technical knowledge of carpentry tools and machinery.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility, proactivity, and positive attitude towards change.
