Job Title: Tax Lead
Job Summary:
A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Jeddah is seeking a skilled and proactive Tax Lead to join its Finance Department. Reporting to the Finance manager, the ideal candidate will assist in all tax-related functions, including Zakat, VAT, and Withholding Tax, and ensure full compliance with relevant regulations issued by ZATCA. The role requires strong knowledge of Saudi tax laws, reporting requirements, and relevant financial accounting standards, along with the ability to handle audits and month-end processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely annual Zakat returns, in accordance with the latest ZATCA guidelines and updates.
- Ensure proper calculation and review of monthly VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) returns.
- Coordinate, prepare, and respond to ZATCA audits and assessments, including Zakat, VAT, and WHT inquiries.
- Coordinate and compile documentation for Local Content audits, and actively communicate with relevant authorities, external auditors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and compliance.
- Handle Transfer Pricing requirements and ensure timely submission of related documentation in accordance with ZATCA regulations.
- Collaborate with internal, group holding, and subsidiaries teams to ensure accurate GL accounting and reflect tax impacts on the financial statements.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring proper tax provisioning and reconciliations.
- Provide management with timely and accurate tax-related reports.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, IFRS, IAS, and their application within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; professional qualification, i.e., ACCA/ACA/CA/CPA, is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of KSA tax regulations, including Zakat, VAT, WHT, and TP, is a must.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with IFRS and IAS standards.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in both English and Arabic.
