Job Description:
The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining seamless integrations between enterprise systems, applications, and platforms. This role ensures data flows accurately and efficiently across systems, supporting business operations and digital initiatives. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable integration solutions
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software or Electronics Engineering with 2+ years of experience in System Integration, Software dev, API engineering
- Hands-on experience with integration tools and platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, Informatica)
- Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and other data interchange formats.
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native integration practices.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and event-driven integration.
- Knowledge of network configurations (electronics) & its relevant troubleshooting and assist in the system design and technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design integration solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Develop and implement APIs, data mappings, transformations, and middleware components.
- Configure and optimize integration tools (e.g., API gateways, ESBs, iPaaS platforms).
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve integration issues in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
- Monitor integration solutions for reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements for existing integrations.
- Work closely with software developers, enterprise architects, business analysts, and vendors to ensure integration alignment with business goals.
- Implement security best practices across all integrations, ensuring compliance with IT security policies and standards.
Certifications (Good to Have):
- MuleSoft/Informatica/Dell Boomi Certified Developer
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Integration Services (especially Logic Apps, API Management)
- Relevant API & Cloud certification (Apigee or AWS)
