Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Energy Manager to join our team, based in the GCC. The energy manager will be critical in helping the design development team achieve high-performance design through advanced energy modeling and analysis.

We envisage success in this role to include;

  1. The role will involve using the #IESVE and similar programs to generate detailed #energy_models of buildings, including their architecture, façade, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and lighting systems. This consists of entering building data, materials, and system specifications. Moreover, the Energy Manager will develop, implement, and maintain the organization's #ISO50001-compliant Energy Management Systems.
  2. Develop, implement, and validate complex energy models for building and infrastructure projects. To simulate energy performance and passive design optimization studies, utilize software tools such as IESVE, Radiance, OpenStudio, #Grasshopper, Ladybug Plus, etc. Conduct the technical evaluations for project consultants and contractors' energy submissions for relevant regulatory and standards compliance.
  3. Collaborate with the sustainability team members and design development team to understand the sustainability objectives and provide expert advice on energy-efficient designs and technologies, including #renewable energy integration and green building standards.
  4. Collect and analyze data related to energy consumption, efficiency, and renewable energy sources to inform decision-making and optimize sustainability strategies.
  5. Assess the feasibility and financial viability of integrating energy-saving strategies. Perform a detailed cost-benefit analysis & return on investment based on the potential for upfront cost and energy cost savings.
  6. Stay up to date with local and national energy codes, green building regulations (#LEED, Mosatadam, BREEAM, etc.), and incentives, ensuring the expert knowledge of Saudi building codes, ASHRAE standards, CIBSE standards, etc. pertaining to energy and passive design analysis for effective implementation in the project design development.
  7. Prepare detailed reports and documentation to clearly communicate findings (to both technical and non-technical audiences), modeling results, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders and teams.
  8. Manage the compliance assurance aligned with ISO 50001 standards and legal requirements relayed to energy management.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in mechanical / Energy / Renewable/ Architectural Engineering.
