Job description

Principal Accountabilities
  1. Oversee the review of and updates to support service practices in accordance with Best in Class, new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.

  2. Define and ensure team delivery against key performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of support service factors.

  3. Responsible for providing leadership to the team and ensuring that the team has the talent, resources, and readiness to meet short- and long-term organizational goals, as well as ensuring maximum productivity and performance in logistics and operations.

  4. Build a strong, multi-locational team atmosphere and foster collaboration across the organization.

  5. Ensure teams are working cross-functionally to meet JIGPC goals.

  6. Hire, train, and develop teams, ensuring that each employee has a clear and thorough understanding of their role and responsibilities.

  7. Mentor, guide, and coach direct reports to expand their capabilities and performance.

  8. Provide ongoing performance feedback, identify, and take appropriate action for non-performance.

  9. Utilize the company’s individual development plan program to support and advocate for employee growth within the team and across the organization.

  10. Actively participate in and lead by example through all change management initiatives.

  11. Effectively manage a multi-locational team in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

  12. Proactively recruit, screen, and select candidates for current and future resource requirements.

  13. Ensure each employee has a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities.

  14. Collaborate with human resources to keep job descriptions current for each position.

  15. Effectively orient new hires to their roles, ensuring a positive and productive experience.

  16. Ensure department structure and budgeted hiring plans align with required performance and productivity levels.

  17. Utilize the company’s performance management program to align individual performance with overall objectives.

  18. Meet all completion requirements at a high-quality level.

  19. Provide ongoing performance feedback, address non-performance issues appropriately.

  20. Ensure all JIGPC communication is disseminated positively and timely.

  21. Administer internal policies and procedures in accordance with company HR, budget, and finance guidelines.

  22. Maintain the accuracy of staff data records.

  23. Follow all company policies and procedures.

  24. Work cooperatively with all departments to promote a positive work environment through effective communication and cooperation.

  25. Maintain individual skills by staying current with the latest best practices, trends, concepts, and regulations relevant to the job area.

  26. Manage time effectively to meet personal goals and support team objectives aligned with JIGPC goals.

  27. Follow all safety guidelines and policies, and immediately inform supervisors or managers of any observed safety issues.
