Job SummaryMonitoring and supervising operation of applicable inspection functions within the Quality Control Section using the authority to release service airframes, accessories and components. In addition, directing Inspectors to adhere to the details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by MRO's incompliance with all FAA regulations, manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Ensuring that preliminary, hidden damage, NDT, in-progress, and final inspections that are performed in MRO's are done and the results are recorded as outlined in the Station & Quality Control Manual in accordance with the Repair Station/FAA approved and accepted data.
  2. Ensuring the final acceptance of all incoming materials, including parts, raw materials and the airworthiness of components on which work has been performed by outside Repair Agencies including serviceability, documentation and traceability.
  3. Ensuring that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is approved for return to service, and that the proper inspection and maintenance records, reports and forms required for such release are properly executed.
  4. Ensuring that subordinates are fully conversant with all FAA approved and accepted data used by MRO's.
  5. Maintaining inspection personnel training schedule.
  6. Ensuring that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their re-use as serviceable parts, i.e. proper tag identification.
  7. Ensuring proper inspection turnover at the end of shift.
Qualifications / Licenses- Diploma Degree in Industrial Engineering, Aviation, or Mechanical Engineering-Work Experience- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Systems and Quality Control.
