The Role:
Supervisor, Inventory Ops Excellence will oversee the daily operations of inventory control metrics across the region, ensuring that inventory KPIs are consistently met and optimized. This role involves monitoring inventory metrics, analyzing performance data, maintaining data integrity, and collaborating with local inventory teams to drive operational efficiency. The supervisor will play a key role in inventory planning, forecasting, and addressing inventory discrepancies to maintain smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory accuracy, efficiency, and performance.
- Review inventory metrics regularly and implement strategies to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Oversee inventory reconciliation and stocktaking procedures, ensuring accurate and timely inventory records.
- Address discrepancies in inventory counts and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure goods are stored according to company standards, optimizing storage space and accessibility.
- Implement best practices for inventory management and organization.
- Generate regular reports on inventory performance, trends, and discrepancies for senior management.
- Provide actionable insights based on inventory data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Lead efforts to improve inventory processes, performance, and accuracy.
- Identify and implement best practices to reduce variances and optimize inventory performance.
- Communicate inventory status, KPIs, and performance updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership and operations teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory management with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in inventory management.
- Identify potential inventory risks, such as damages, pilferage, and misplacement, and take steps to mitigate them.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or related fields.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role, with proven success in leading and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of inventory performance metrics, stock reconciliation, and reporting processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights for optimizing inventory performance.
- Proficiency in SQL & Excel (essential for data analysis and reporting).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
