Supervisor - Accounts Payable

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities:

1. AP Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all AP transactions and payments.
2. Ensure that all invoices are correctly booked for 3rd party and Inter-Company transactions.
3. Review payment requests for 3rd party vendors.
4. Prepare payment requests for Inter-Company transactions.
5. Develop and manage the monthly payment plan.
6. Review the GRNV report and communicate with buyers/vendors to obtain invoices.
7. Review open PO reports monthly.
8. Review prepayment reports monthly.
9. Adhere to and manage work within tight deadlines.
10. Assist with AP month-end tasks as needed.
11. Ensure NOV Accounting Controls are in place and compliant.
12. Prepare and review monthly accruals.
13. Provide necessary details for internal, management, and external audits.
14. Communicate with critical suppliers for operational needs.
15. Check Basware daily to ensure timely recording of 3rd party and IC invoices.
16. Coordinate with department owners to resolve issues in Basware and ensure timely invoice recording.
17. Educate and train staff on Basware usage.

Education/Qualification, Experience, and Key Competencies:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector.
3. Strong ability to understand, evaluate, and apply technical information.
4. Ability to understand the strategic direction of the business.
5. Understanding of business needs and drivers.
6. Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage issues independently.
7. Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
8. Great attention to detail.
9. Openness to new challenges and responsibility in challenging situations.
10. Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
11. Adherence to ethical principles.
12. Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
