We are seeking a passionate and experienced Student Counselor to join our team and support the well-being of our students. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting students' mental health, emotional growth, and overall well-being, providing individual counseling, and developing programs to support students' personal development. This role requires an individual who can build strong, trusting relationships with students, collaborate with faculty, and work closely with parents to ensure that each student has the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Development & Support: Identify and support students' abilities, inclinations, and behaviors, providing guidance and developing personalized treatment plans to help them succeed
  • Parent & Teacher Collaboration: Hold individual meetings with parents to address concerns, organize training courses for students and their families, and collaborate with teachers on academic performance and behavioral issues
  • Academic Monitoring & Guidance: Track student progress through evaluations, identify lagging students, and collaborate with the Guidance Committee to provide appropriate support and interventions
  • Career & Health Guidance: Offer career guidance, facilitate participation in school career days, and increase awareness about healthy practices. Refer students to appropriate professionals when necessary
  • Coordination & Supervision: Supervise student entry into classes, cooperate with teachers and staff, ensure students' well-being, and attend team meetings to discuss student support and improvements
  • Student and Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and attendance, and follow up on any concerns


Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field
  • At least 3+ years of experience in student counseling, pastoral care, or mental health support within a school setting
  • Proven experience in providing individual and group counseling, developing intervention strategies, and supporting students' emotional and academic well-being
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and school leadership in addressing student needs
  • Exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff
  • In-depth knowledge of child development, safeguarding policies, and mental health frameworks to support student well-being
