Job Description

Role Overview

WSP Riyadh is seeking a highly skilled Structure Inspector to join our team. The inspector will ensure the quality and integrity of structural elements on road, bridge, highway, and tunnel projects in Riyadh. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, monitoring construction activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct inspections of structural components such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and tunnels for quality, workmanship, and compliance.
  2. Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project requirements.
  3. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved methods, materials, and procedures, and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and quality control tests on materials like concrete, steel, and asphalt.
  5. Document findings and test results, and liaise with stakeholders to address issues.
  6. Collaborate with engineers, designers, contractors, and authorities to resolve technical queries.
  7. Provide technical guidance to construction teams and promote best practices.
  8. Conduct site surveys to identify risks and implement safety measures.
  9. Stay updated on industry developments and incorporate relevant advancements.
  10. Uphold commitments to quality, safety, and sustainability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; professional certifications are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in structural inspection and quality control, especially in road, bridge, highway, and tunnel projects.
  • Experience working with top international construction consultants.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant inspection, documentation, and reporting software.
