Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert guidance and oversight on all structural engineering aspects of transportation projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.
  2. Collaborate with design and construction teams to review and evaluate structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  3. Conduct site inspections to assess structural integrity, identify risks, and propose mitigation solutions.
  4. Monitor on-site structural works for adherence to designs, specifications, and quality standards.
  5. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve structural issues during construction.
  6. Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals related to structural works.
  7. Perform structural assessments and recommend strengthening or modifications as needed.
  8. Prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence related to structural activities.
  9. Act as a liaison between the project team, clients, and authorities regarding structural concerns.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a reputable institution; Master’s degree is a plus.
  2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent preferred.
  3. 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering, focusing on high-rise buildings or towers, preferably in the UAE.
  4. Proven success in delivering structural engineering solutions.
  5. Deep knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  6. Site supervision experience is required.
  7. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or similar.
  8. Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  9. Understanding of site operations, construction methodologies, and safety protocols.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
