The Strategy & Planning Manager is responsible for capital management, investment planning, and investor relations to support the holding company’s financial growth. This role involves securing funding, identifying new investors, optimizing capital allocation, and ensuring financial sustainability. The Strategy and Planning Manager will play a critical role in attracting and maintaining investor relationships while aligning investment strategies with the company’s long-term vision.

Key Responsibilities :

Capital Management and Fundraising :

  • Develop and execute strategies to secure funding from institutional investors, banks, private equity firms, and other financial sources.
  • Identify and engage with potential investors, presenting compelling investment opportunities aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Negotiate financing terms, capital structures, and funding agreements to optimize liquidity and financial sustainability.

Investor Relations and Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and key stakeholders. Prepare investor reports, pitch decks, and financial presentations to support engagement with potential and existing investors.
  • Act as a liaison between the holding company, subsidiaries, and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on investment strategies.

Strategic Planning and Capital Allocation :

  • Develop and implement capital strategies that align with the holding company’s investment objectives. Optimize capital allocation across subsidiaries and investment portfolios to maximize returns and minimize risks.
  • Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and forecasting to support capital planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Investment Analysis and Market Research :
  • Monitor financial markets, economic trends, and industry developments to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  • Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, providing detailed financial assessments. Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership on market trends and investment performance.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting :

  • Track and analyze the financial performance of the holding company’s investments and subsidiaries. Prepare detailed reports for the CIO and executive leadership, outlining investment performance, capital allocation efficiency, and risk exposure.
  • Ensure strategic plans are aligned with financial goals and provide recommendations for course corrections when necessary.

Risk Management and Compliance :

  • Identify financial and investment risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential losses.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to structure investment deals that align with company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree (MBA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, fundraising, corporate finance, or strategic planning.
  • Proven track record in capital raising, investor relations, and financial planning.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent are a plus.
