Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries of goods, supplies, and equipment, ensuring they meet hotel standards and specifications.
  • Storage and Organization: Store goods, supplies, and equipment in designated areas, maintaining a clean, organized, and secure store environment.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, conducting regular stocktakes and reporting discrepancies or variances.
  • Issuance and Control: Issue goods, supplies, and equipment to authorized personnel, ensuring proper authorization and control procedures are followed.
  • Stock Level Management: Monitor and report on stock levels, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items and recommending adjustments to inventory levels.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with department heads, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of receipts, issues, stock levels, and other relevant transactions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a storekeeping or inventory management role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Skills: Basic math skills, attention to detail, organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: Inventory management or storekeeping certifications.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in multiple languages.
