Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and organized Storekeeper to manage and oversee the storage and distribution of goods within the warehouse or store. The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a smooth flow of materials to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and damage.
- Store items in their designated places within the warehouse or store.
- Ensure the proper labeling and organization of products in storage.
- Maintain an accurate inventory record, update stock levels regularly, and ensure proper documentation of stock movements.
- Issue materials and goods to various departments or employees based on requests.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies or shortages.
- Ensure all items are stored safely and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and management to fulfill material requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and stock requisitions.
- Manage inventory control systems and ensure timely reordering of supplies.
- Prepare and organize inventory reports as required.
- Ensure the store area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all transactions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (or higher education in related fields).
- Previous experience as a storekeeper, warehouse assistant, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving materials (as necessary).
- Proficient in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for tracking inventory.
