Job description

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Store items in an organized, safe, and hygienic manner, adhering to temperature control and food safety standards (HACCP).
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, including daily entries, usage reports, and reorder requests.
  • Ensure timely issuance of goods to kitchen and housekeeping departments as per requisitions.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies with inventory records.
  • Monitor shelf-life and expiry dates
  • Alert management to low stock levels, expired goods, or damaged items.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and pest control in all storage areas (dry, chilled, frozen, and cleaning stores).
  • Assist with stock audits and prepare reports for the Site Manager and Head Office as required.
  • Maintain security and safety of all stock, preventing loss, theft, or contamination.

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in storekeeping or inventory management is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in catering, hospitality, or remote site operations.
  • Familiar with food safety standards and HACCP practices.
  • Good knowledge of stock control systems and inventory software (e.g., MS Excel, ERP).
