Storage Backup Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage Backup Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in storage and backup administration, coupled with a bachelor's degree and professional certifications in systems administration and backup.

Responsibilities:

1. Storage and Backup Management:

Design, implement, and manage storage solutions to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability.

Oversee and administer backup and recovery strategies for critical data and systems.

Monitor storage infrastructure to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

2. Data Protection:

Implement and maintain data protection policies, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in the event of system failures.

3. Infrastructure Optimization:

Collaborate with other IT teams to optimize storage and backup infrastructure in alignment with organizational goals.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance storage and backup capabilities.

4. Security and Compliance:

Implement security best practices to safeguard stored data.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.

5. Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide expert-level support for storage and backup-related issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly to minimize impact on business operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in storage and backup administration.

Professional certificates in systems administration and backup (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), etc.).
