We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Stewarding Supervisor to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in our food and beverage operations. This position requires a professional individual who can lead a team of stewards while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a team of stewards, planning rosters and shifts to meet business demands
  • Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Implement and maintain hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with HACCP principles and local regulations
  • Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to support smooth operations
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels
  • Train and develop stewards in proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of storage areas, including proper organization of equipment and supplies
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to address any issues related to stewarding operations
  • Implement and monitor pest control procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
  • Respond promptly to any emergency situations related to hygiene or safety

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Proficient in planning rosters, managing shifts, and coordinating team activities
  • Knowledge of cleaning processes and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in line with organizational policies
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands and work schedules
  • Familiarity with inventory management and record-keeping
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food safety or hospitality management are preferred
