Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Stewarding Supervisor to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in our food and beverage operations. This position requires a professional individual who can lead a team of stewards while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to safety protocols.

1. Manage and supervise a team of stewards, planning rosters and shifts to meet business demands
2. Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
3. Implement and maintain hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with HACCP principles and local regulations
4. Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to support smooth operations
5. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels
6. Train and develop stewards in proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
7. Monitor and maintain cleanliness of storage areas, including proper organization of equipment and supplies
8. Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards
9. Collaborate with other departments to address any issues related to stewarding operations
10. Implement and monitor pest control procedures
11. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
12. Respond promptly to any emergency situations related to hygiene or safety

Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
2. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
5. Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe working environment
6. Proficient in planning rosters, managing shifts, and coordinating team activities
7. Knowledge of cleaning processes and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work independently and make decisions in line with organizational policies
10. Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands and work schedules
11. Familiarity with inventory management and record-keeping
12. Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift
13. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
14. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food safety or hospitality management are preferred
