- Lead thorough inspections of steam traps across a wide range of industrial systems to identify inefficiencies, malfunctions, or leaks.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools (such as ultrasound or infrared technology) to test steam traps for accurate performance evaluation.
- System Optimization and Energy Management:
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing the performance of steam traps to maximize energy efficiency and minimize steam loss.
- Collaborate with energy management and engineering teams to assess overall system performance and recommend improvements to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
- Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on steam traps, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex issues in steam systems.
- Ensure proper selection, installation, and maintenance of steam traps to meet the operational needs of the facility.
- Preventive Maintenance and Repairs:
- Develop and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for steam traps to ensure system reliability and longevity.
- Coordinate or perform repairs and replacements of defective steam traps, ensuring minimal system downtime.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Implement safety protocols when working with high-pressure steam systems and ensure proper documentation of safety procedures.
