Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Static Equipment Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The role involves the design, specification, and detailed engineering of static equipment, such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and columns, for major oil & gas, petrochemical, and refinery projects. The candidate must ensure that all equipment meets international standards, client requirements, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineering of static equipment including:
• Heat exchangers (shell & tube, air-cooled)
• Columns and towers
• Reactors, drums, and filters
• Develop mechanical design calculations and datasheets.
• Prepare technical specifications, material requisitions, and vendor bid evaluations.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, designs, and fabrication procedures.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (Piping, Process, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation).
• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards
• Exposure to Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards will be added advantage
• Support procurement and construction teams during fabrication and installation phases.
• Perform technical clarifications and interface with vendors and clients.
• Participate in design reviews (Model Reviews, HAZOPs, Constructability Reviews).
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment designs within budget and schedule.
• Support field engineering activities and resolve site technical queries.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5–15 years of experience in static equipment design within oil & gas, petrochemical, or refinery projects.
• Proficiency in engineering software
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards
• Good understanding of material selection for various service conditions
• Excellent communication, team coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel for vendor inspections and site support, if required.
