BAE Systems is seeking a Training Governance Specialist to ensure training standards for the Saudi Arabia Armed Forces. This role involves managing the training life cycle, evaluating curricula, and conducting audits. Applicants should hold a relevant degree with significant instructing experience, alongside strong English proficiency.
JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain RSAF aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in aircraft, equipment, and weapons usage in a training environment.
BAE Systems Saudi Arabia supports the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation, and promotes Saudi National capability growth through local partner companies, reinforcing industrial partnerships.
The King Faisal Air Academy (KFAA) Academic Wing (AW) Standards and Evaluation (StanEval) Department ensures training standards are met. StanEval governs the training services delivered under the Officer and Aircrew Training (OAT) contract.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Use the Systems Approach to Training and Training Governance across AW, liaising with RSAF Governance and Inspection Team (GAIT).
- Manage Training Life Cycle Management (LCM) per Company HB07/06.
- Review, evaluate, verify, and validate curriculum and courseware for compliance with quality and training standards.
- Conduct instructor evaluations for new hires, re-licensing, and delegated evaluators.
- Facilitate internal and external audits with authorities and accrediting agencies.
- Maintain configuration control of curriculum and courseware, including documentation for changes.
- Obtain approvals for curriculum or courseware changes from RSAF, MODSAP, and other stakeholders.
- Review performance reports of cadets, classes, and departments.
- Administer tests and assessments securely.
- Use TMIS / LMIS for data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure records are retained for audit purposes.
- Monitor course and test schedules.
- Liaise with RSAF Programmes and Examination Department.
- Supervise departmental staff and promote professional development.
- Foster an environment of independent learning and military ethos.
- Provide feedback to improve service performance.
- Ensure SHE policy compliance and Duty of Care.
- Complete mandatory and developmental training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
- Degree level education, preferably with a Master’s or equivalent.
- Postgraduate teaching or Instructional Technique course.
- Extensive teaching or instructing experience.
- Certified auditor per ISO 9001:19011.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluency in English (IELTS 7 or equivalent).
- Desirable: Experience with DSAT, training governance, curriculum development, RSAF practices, configuration management, TMIS / LMIS, and aviation training.
