Job description

Under general supervision, the Staff Nurse delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation in accordance with established philosophy. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Through a holistic approach, staff nurses effectively interact with patients and significant others, while maintaining our professional standards & ethical responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs and documents a systematic initial and on-going assessment of the patients, utilizing the nursing care process and interventions.
  • Attend to patients activities of daily living and carries out all other nursing related tasks i.e. Medication management, specimen collection.
  • Responsible for complying with the hospital code of conduct and the patient and family rights standards.
  • Participates and communicates as an integral member of a multi-cultural and Multi-Disciplinary Health Care Team while demonstrating a high level of professional practice.
  • Ensures that the principles and standards common to national and international accreditation organizations are being implemented and maintained by all

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor, Sciences of Nursing (BSN) from recognized college
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years progressive post-graduate experience in an area of speciality.
  • Computer skills: Knowledge of MS Office full package application.
  • Licensing : Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) and Courses according to area of Sub- Speciality, Basic Life Support Certification
  • Skills :
    • Thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field such as nursing, managed care, and nursing administration.
    • Exemplifies approaches that motivate and inspire others, promote positive morale, enhance performance of others, and model organizational values.
    • Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Possess a broad range of knowledge in the healthcare system.
  • Languages : Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English & Arabic.
