Summary
Within the mission, vision, and values of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, the nurse demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and applies this knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, and delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in alignment with established clinical standards.

Education/Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand is a must.
  • Minimum Two (2) years of clinical experience post-qualification.
  • Minimum One (1) year in emergency care.

License:

  • Current and in good standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in the country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate advanced nursing knowledge and clinical competence in the Medicine Unit.
  • Act as an advisor and resource person within the Medicine Unit.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team within the remit of the RN license to provide advanced nursing care, including nurse-led clinics.
  • Serve as an advisor on evidence-based nursing practices in the Medicine Unit.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Advocate for patients and maintain confidentiality of records.
  • Participate in research activities and disseminate findings and best practices.
  • Assess educational needs of patients and families, and assist in discharge planning.
  • Show respect, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Lead and participate in initiatives to improve patient care and experience.
  • Undertake clinical audits and research to enhance nursing practice.
  • Maintain infection control measures.
  • Evaluate systems to improve patient outcomes and cost-effectiveness.
  • Recommend changes based on evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and review policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
  • Serve as a role model, educator, and consultant.
  • Build professional networks within the hospital and academic community.
  • Take responsibility for own actions and demonstrate initiative.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
