Summary
Within the mission, vision, and values of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, the staff nurse demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and applies this knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, and delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in alignment with established clinical standards, in close collaboration with medical and healthcare team members.

Education/Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience Post-Qualifications:

  • Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand is essential.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience post-qualification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year in a Coronary Care Unit.

License:

  • Current and in good standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in the country of residence.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate advanced nursing knowledge and clinical competence in the Medicine Unit.
  • Act as an advisor and resource within the Medicine Unit.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide advanced nursing care, including nurse-led clinics, within the scope of the RN license.
  • Serve as an advisor on evidence-based nursing practices in the Medicine Unit.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Advocate for patients and maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all records and reports related to the Medicine Unit.
  • Participate in research activities and disseminate relevant findings and best practices.
  • Assess educational needs of patients and families, and plan discharge and educational interventions accordingly.
  • Show respect, compassion, and cultural sensitivity to all stakeholders.
  • Promote excellence in patient care and rights.
  • Lead and participate in nursing initiatives and educational programs to improve patient outcomes and experience.
  • Undertake clinical audits and research to enhance nursing practice.
  • Maintain infection control standards.
  • Evaluate systems and programs for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Recommend evidence-based practice improvements.
  • Develop, review, and recommend policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
  • Serve as a professional role model, educator, and consultant.
  • Build professional networks with colleagues, students, and faculty.
  • Take responsibility for own actions and decisions, demonstrating initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
