Job Description

The Staff Cafeteria Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the staff cafeteria within an organization. This includes managing cafeteria staff, ensuring high-quality food service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and fostering a positive dining experience for employees.

Job Duties Include :

  1. Support all Staff Cafeteria Attendants to maintain and exceed standards that are set in place.
  2. Participate in monthly menu creation and development of standards.
  3. Understand daily operations and anticipate and participate in upcoming events held in the cafeteria.
  4. Review staff feedback with the Staff Cafeteria Chef and address concerns timely and professionally.
  5. Monitor food storage, handling, and preparation to uphold safety and sanitation regulations.
  6. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and facilities for cleanliness and proper functioning.
  7. Address food safety issues promptly, involving management and taking corrective action as needed.
  8. Implement initiatives to improve dining experience and satisfaction of employees.
  9. Maintain standards and cleanliness for all aspects of the staff cafeteria, including condiments, buffets, vending machines, table settings, ambiance, and overall flow of the dining room.

Qualifications

  • Passion to work in a fast-paced cafeteria setting.
  • Valid Food Safety Certification required with strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations.
  • Able to stand, walk throughout shifts, and lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts and days of the week.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make effective decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
