Job Title: Sr. Sales & Marketing Engineer

Reports to: Sales & Marketing Manager

Position Overview:

Responsible for the sales and marketing of JAL products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction and achievement of sales targets across key sectors including Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, Utilities, and General Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Introduce JAL products/services based on customer requirements.
  2. Conduct frequent client visits to generate leads and RFQs.
  3. Respond to technical and functional RFQ/RFP requirements.
  4. Attend job explanation and project kick-off meetings.
  5. Perform site visits with Estimation and Project teams.
  6. Coordinate with Proposals and Execution teams to meet deadlines.
  7. Prepare and submit quotations/bids to clients.
  8. Conduct aggressive follow-ups and negotiations to close deals.
  9. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
  10. Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  11. Maintain thorough knowledge of assigned territory and market trends.
  12. Understand market dynamics in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, and EPC sectors.
  13. Collaborate with Sales team members and Technical Experts.
  14. Communicate effectively and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

Technical Expertise Required:

  • Testing & Communication Services (Substations/Power Plants up to 380 KV)
  • Maintenance Services (Substations/Power Plants up to 380 KV)
  • Relay and Protection Panels up to 380 KV
  • SCADA RTU and SOE Systems
  • Capacitor Banks up to 380 KV
  • Industrial Electrical Equipment & Components

Reporting Requirements:

  • Weekly SMART lead status report
  • SAP updates for all opportunities
  • Weekly updates on critical projects
  • Weekly competitor insights

Competencies:

  • Computer literacy and estimation/sales costing skills
  • Proficient in business communication (written and verbal)
  • Highly motivated, aggressive, sales-oriented
  • Customer-focused and results-driven
  • Creative, team player, willing to work extended hours

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: 5–10 years in Sales & Marketing of power equipment/systems
