Job description

This position is created for handling incoming receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final product inspection in the Quality Assurance & Control function of Flow Controls, Jubail / Spark.

Job Responsibilities :

Sr. Quality Engineer :

• Read and understand Customer / Internal specifications and international standards.
• Carry out receiving inspection as per Incoming Inspection plans.
• Issue Corrective Action Requests to Suppliers and follow up for close-out.
• Perform in-process inspections such as heat number verification, PMI, hardness, paint DFT, etc.
• Conduct final inspections and certification as per PO & approved documents.
• Perform special testing (Fugitive emission testing) of valves.
• Perform Oracle transactions in the Quality Module.
• Coordinate customer inspections.
• Arrange calibration of instruments and maintain records.
• Maintain and update ISO documentation & records.
• Conduct supplier quality control activities, audits, qualification renewal, maintain records, and update the worldwide qualified suppliers list.
• Issue rework forms to suppliers and coordinate/visit machine shops for rework.
• Prepare and provide supplier PPM data in global quality SharePoint and MEA.
• Provide machining-related clarification to new trim part suppliers in India and local rework machine shops.
• Prepare SOPs, Quality Alerts, Safety instructions, and initiatives.
• Supervise SCAR status in MEA quality SharePoint, review the effectiveness of CA provided by suppliers, and close the SCARs.
• Prepare project-specific surface preparation & painting procedures.
• Train and qualify painters in Jubail and maintain qualification records.
• Review project painting specifications and clarify all painting-related queries from PM and OE.
• Coordinate with shop on in-house inspection and testing, monitor blotter and air pressure tests, and verify records.
• Visit external paint/coating shops and local suppliers for audits and quality checks.
• Offer paint DFT and PMI inspections for client/TPI inspectors and issue reports.
• Participate in PIM, KOM, and customer project-specific visits.
• Support QP & Spec functions to review customer specifications related to QMS & factory tests.
• Perform CSP reviews with suppliers for sophisticated CSPs.
• Review customer comments on QMS & factory test procedures and provide resolutions.
• Schedule and handle challenging project witness inspections.
• Support in-pipe teams for project execution.
• Verify finished equipment against IPO using final inspection checklist.
• Create final certificates in QA documents for MRO and projects.
• Review material certificates, NDE reports, and test reports against PS codes, customer documentation, and special requirements.
• Review factory test results against IPO.
• Plan and notify customer inspections, offer completed products for inspection.
• Raise non-conformance reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Review root cause and corrective actions for effectiveness.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors for witnessing inspections.
• Validate part numbers in Oracle.
• Take ownership of the company's Quality Policy & Core Values.

Who you are?

• Leak Testing - ASNT TC 1A certification.
• Knowledge of Material Specifications, NDE, ASME, IEC, ISA, and FCI Standards.
• Awareness of ISO Standards and Root Cause Analysis.

For this role, you will need :

• Degree or equivalent with 5+ years, Diploma with 8+ years in Quality Management in the valve industry.
• Familiarity with Control Valve accessories and instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• BGAS or NACE paint inspector certification.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 8D.
• Experience with HSE programs.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
