Overview

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong technical expertise in IT/OT systems integration to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of food safety and quality management solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing end-to-end technology implementation projects in food manufacturing or food supply chain environments, with a focus on ensuring compliance, traceability, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle for IT/OT systems implementation in food safety, from requirement gathering to deployment and post-go-live support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, engineering, IT, vendors) to ensure successful system rollout.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, focusing on food safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
• Manage system integration projects involving MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SCADA, PLCs, ERP, and IoT-based monitoring tools.
• Implement and oversee digital food safety platforms, including real-time monitoring of critical control points (CCPs), predictive maintenance, and data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with global and regional food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, FDA, FSSC 22000, GFSI, etc.).
• Monitor and report project progress, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technology solutions for food safety automation.
• Drive change management and user adoption across IT and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Food Technology, or related field (Masters preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in Project Management with at least 3-5 years in IT/OT systems implementation for manufacturing or food industry.
• Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT) systems: PLCs, SCADA, MES, IoT sensors.
• Solid knowledge of Information Technology (IT) systems: ERP (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), data analytics platforms, and integration middleware.
• Proven expertise in food safety and compliance frameworks (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSMA, GFSI standards).
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification highly desirable.
• Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
