The Role

In this role, the Senior Project Engineer will work on various projects to implement and improve DGM's control systems and provide ongoing customer support to ensure reliable performance and world-class customer satisfaction. Working from AspenTech's Medina, Minnesota campus, and from customer sites as required, the successful candidate will contribute to project delivery excellence supporting utility customers in energy generation, transmission, and distribution industries.

Your Impact
  • Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer SCADA systems.
  • Provide technical sales support for power systems applications, including sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements through customer communication, then communicate these to relevant departments.
  • Design systems and applications.
  • Perform hardware, software, and system installation, integration, and testing.
  • Customize system, hardware, and network configurations based on customer needs.
  • Provide customer support and assistance for maintenance and warranty services.
  • Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of project engineering/management experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Experience with SCADA, power systems, electric utility operations, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows OS, programming (Python, C/C++).
  • Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra), JSON, and utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, MultiSpeak) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence.

The salary range for this role is $104,400 - $130,500, which is an estimate of the base compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on factors, and the range may be adjusted in the future. The role is eligible for bonuses or variable incentives. We also offer comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement plans for eligible employees.
