The Role

The Senior Project Engineer will work on various projects to implement and enhance DGM’s control systems and provide ongoing customer support to ensure reliable performance and customer satisfaction. Based at AspenTech’s Medina, Minnesota campus and at customer sites as needed, the successful candidate will contribute to project delivery excellence supporting utility customers in the energy generation, transmission, and distribution industries.

Your Impact

• Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer SCADA systems.
• Provide technical sales support for power systems applications, including presentations and product demonstrations.
• Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements through customer communication, then relay these to relevant departments.
• Design systems and applications.
• Perform hardware, software, and system installation, integration, and testing.
• Customize system, hardware, and network configurations based on customer needs.
• Support customers through maintenance and warranty services.
• Assist in creating training materials and project documentation.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of project engineering/management experience.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
• Experience with SCADA, power systems, utility operations, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows OS, and software programming (Python, C/C++).
• Knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra), JSON, and utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, MultiSpeak) is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to customer service.

The salary range for this role is $104,400 - $130,500, with potential for bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, insurance, and retirement plans.
