Title:
Sr. Materials and Corrosion Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Familiarization with relevant international Engineering standards and procedures
- Carry out corrosion assessments on pipelines, piping, and equipment, preferably using software
- Develop corrosion management documentation such as CMP reports, material selection reports, diagrams, and corrosion loop diagrams
- Provide technical support for projects, including RBI and corrosion inspection manuals, on-stream inspection diagrams
- Lead engineering assessments based on applicable codes (e.g., API 579, BS 7910, ASME B31G, DNV RP F101)
- Coordinate technical issues with other engineering disciplines
- Provide necessary inputs/data to other disciplines as required
- Guide corrosion calculations and interpret metallurgical codes and standards
- Review TBEs and NMRs related to materials scope
- Interface with client representatives to resolve technical issues
- Review integrity assessment reports, including ILI reports, fitness for purpose, repair recommendations, and raw data
- Assist in training and developing junior team members
- Liaise with global offices and subject matter experts
- Conduct site visits as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Materials, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 10 years of experience in corrosion engineering services within oil, gas, or petrochemical industries
- Strong soft skills, including presentation, communication, and collaboration
- Willingness to work from the client’s office when needed
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco and industrial standards such as API 510, 570, 571, 580, 581, and 653
- Experience with ECE and API RBI software
Preferences:
- Experience in corrosion engineering, material selection, and asset integrity assessment
- Experience with Middle Eastern clients, especially Saudi Aramco
- PMC experience or exposure to PMC projects
- NACE certification (advantage)
- API-580 RBI certification (advantage)
