Sr. Inspection Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

Plan and execute activities to ensure the optimum reliability, availability, and technical integrity of all static equipment and piping systems in the area of responsibility. Develop technically sound and cost-effective maintenance approaches, consistent with the company operating requirements and safety standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop and execute all inspection plans to ensure the integrity and reliability of the plant assets.
• Prepare and review with Area lead engineer the required technical advice / assistance to Operations, Maintenance, Technology, Engineering, Projects, Contractors to ensure plant integrity and reliability.
• Develop the required recommendations to maintenance and shutdown/turnaround teams to ensure continuous availability and integrity of the plant.
• Execute scope of work to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant.
• Audit the quality assurance/quality control plans & review and approve the quality assurance quality control documents to ensure the work quality; hence the plant integrity and reliability
• Review and update the Plant Integrity Assurance (RBI) Manual with the latest designated area data and process changes to ensure that plant integrity is maintained.
• Perform root cause analysis in case of any abnormal finding from inspection that is not aligned with equipment design basis.
• Raise plant change proposal for upgrading the metallurgy to enhance equipment reliability and integrity.
• Provide relevant information and advice to support the development of a sound departmental business plan.
• Ensure the business processes and work activities, relevant to the position, are executed in compliance with the company's policies and procedures to achieve the business objectives in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct manager/lead engineer.

Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years relevant experience of which 5 years are in refinery.
