DESCRIPTION

As digital payments evolve in the Middle East (MENA), organizations are going through digital transformation and looking for simpler, safer, and affordable ways to process payments, coupled with a change in consumer behavior in favor of paying for products and services online. Amazon Payments is at the forefront of innovation, re-imagining payments in the MENA region. At Amazon, we have a long history of providing innovative solutions for our customers. We build trusted, simple, and affordable payment experiences for our customers and solve for challenges such as increasing electronic payment coverage, increasing purchasing power at checkout, mitigating transactional risks, and offer payment insights.

We are seeking a senior and experienced Business Development Manager to join Amazon.sa Payments team in KSA. This is a crucial role which will be at forefront of both Internal leaderships/stakeholders and external ecosystems (banks, regulators, payment providers etc) to shape the growth and development of payments for Amazon shopping in Saudi Arabia. The role will drive the key goals, P&L, roadmap prioritization, external partnerships and internal stakeholder management.

This role is based out of Riyadh, KSA.

Key job responsibilities
1) Operate Payments goals and P&L in collaboration with Payments Country Lead. These goals and initiatives are across improving payment experience, affordability, access, engagement and reducing costs.
2) Contribute in Payments product strategy and the prioritization for the country, across different payment products & programs.
3) Lead specific payment programs end to end, including its strategy, P&L and initiatives.
4) Foster partnership strategies in the KSA Payments ecosystem to enhance the payment offering of Amazon.sa
5) Secure, sign-up, and manage working relationships with Payment partners. Negotiate and finalize business contracts with partners, ensuring favorable terms for Amazon.sa.
6) Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the fintech and payments space.
7) Represent Amazon.sa at Payment’s industry events and conferences to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
8) Represent Payment’s team internally to larger Amazon.sa team. Collaborate with internal Payments Team (Product, Finance, Legal, and Ops) and broader Amazon.sa team (leadership, marketing, finance) to achieve the goals and objectives.
9) Contribute to Payment planning for Amazon shopping events and key strategic programs. Contributes to the customer/market research and benchmarking studies, to provide localized inputs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– MBA
– Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
– 6+ years of professional or military experience
– Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
– Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including traditional banking, alternative payment methods, and emerging fintech solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 6+ years of Payment Industry experience in partnership management, preferably in the banking, fintech, or e-commerce sectors.
