Sr. Accountant

Role Summary:

Ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping, balance sheet accounts reconciliation, journal entry, journal entry upload, IFRS compliance, and other regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all GL transactions in the ERP system.
• Conduct weekly reconciliation of bank accounts to identify and address discrepancies, and investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities on time.
• Make sure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
• Review period-end journal entries and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain fixed assets register.
• Manage prepaid expenses.
• Assist in the preparation of accrual files.
• Calculate and prepare tax returns, including VAT and income tax, and ensure timely submission of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• SOCPA and CMA certificates are preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in various roles.

Required Skills:

• Strong verbal & written communication skills in both English & Arabic.

• Familiarity with ZATCA, IFRS, and other financial regulatory requirements, and the ability to ensure compliance in financial operations.
