A leading company in the lighting industry is looking for a Specification Engineer to promote products and manage customer relationships. The engineer will be responsible for developing a customer portfolio, managing complex projects, and providing consultations to potential clients. Ideal candidates hold a Master's degree in relevant fields and possess strong sales and negotiation skills, with 5-10 years of experience in the industry.

Qualifications

Job description

1. Role: Specification Engineer

2. Main purpose of the job:

Promote Schréder products to Architects, Design Offices, Landscapers, Lighting Designers, End users and Private Key Accounts.

Find/create new opportunities through an active approach regarding potential customers.

Responsible for his/her area.

Provide consultation services and customer education to potential accounts by conducting face-to-face/ online meetings, technical workshops and seminars.

3. Main responsibilities within the job (non-exhaustive list):

  • Development of the customer portfolio. Follow-up of minimum 100 customers.
  • Visits potential customers (listen, analyse, advise, …)
  • Determine customer needs
  • Carry out the lighting project (products, photometry, …) with, if necessary, the lighting application team
  • Ensure costing
  • Customers and offers follow-up
  • Collect & forward information regarding products, competition, customers to the sales teams
  • Collect & forward information regarding new projects to the sales teams
  • Management of more complex custom projects (interface de conseil pour des developments de nouveaux customs – relations avec équipe custom Victor)
  • Ability to manage the most complex projects (tunnel, illumination, …)
  • Ability to prepare a technical / sales file (photometry study, proposal, technical sheet, …)
  • Ability to ensure that the JV criteria (general & technical specificities, design, efficiency, …) are included in client’s specifications.

Contact, develop, and manage potential accounts (Based in and out of KSA) that have potential projects within KSA, specifying the JV solutions, services
