Job Title: Specialist - Load Dispatch Center (LDC) SCADA

A leading Talent Acquisition Company in Saudi Arabia is hiring a Specialist for the Load Dispatch Center (LDC) SCADA to join a dynamic team in the energy sector. This role is vital for ensuring efficient monitoring and control of power systems, contributing to reliable energy distribution across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all LDC system applications, software, operating systems, and hardware.
  2. Manage system administration activities for all LDC systems.
  3. Utilize real-time data monitoring, data historian management, and data visualization tools to analyze and present critical system information.
  4. Monitor and respond to system alarms and events from Spectrum Power TG EMS and HIS systems, prioritizing issues in coordination with LDC power operations.
  5. Provide technical support to LDC power operations for failure troubleshooting, report generation, and issue resolution in EMS/HIS systems and subsystems.
  6. Administer Oracle databases, optimize performance using indexes and dynamic tables, and analyze database conditions.
  7. Develop Oracle forms and reports, extracting data for operational and business development needs.
  8. Perform PL/SQL scripting, routine database maintenance, and proactive index rebuilding.
  9. Manage WebLogic server domains, clusters, deployments, and monitor/tune server performance.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. At least 8 years of experience with SCADA systems in a utility environment.
  3. Experience with major utility organizations or SCADA system manufacturers.
  4. Knowledge of Energy Management Systems and Historical Information Systems.
  5. Experience with Spectrum Power TG EMS software.
  6. Proficiency in Linux OS, command-line tools, scripting, and automation.
  7. Professional certifications in Oracle administration, database, forms and reports, PL/SQL, application server, and WebLogic server.
