Job Description for Specialist Engineer II ‐ Electrical
Job Purpose
Responsible for technical and procurement tasks, including expediting and quality control surveillance, of equipment and material requisitions, calculations, and analysis. This encompasses managing technical specifications to on-site delivery for standard equipment, as well as specific skid-mounted or modularized equipment for special applications.
Requirements & Experiential Learnings
- B. Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design and project execution within oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries, including at least 3 years specifically in Oil & Gas.
- Good knowledge of equipment and activities, with shop or site experience.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and calculation skills.
- Knowledge of international standards such as IEEE, ANSI, IEC, NFPA, UL, and familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards including SA CMS.
- Attention to detail and advanced Excel skills.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Basic, FEED, and Detail engineering, understanding workflow and inter-discipline dependencies.
- Experience with ETAP power system studies.
- Experience with 3D-model-centric projects.

Main Accountabilities
- Timely and high-quality preparation of technical specifications, requisitions, calculations, reports, and other engineering deliverables, coordinating with disciplines.
- Ensuring external parties meet contractual technical specifications.
- Effective communication with vendors and technical follow-up on orders.
- Adherence to project targets including technical robustness, budget, and schedule.
- Proposing cost, schedule, and energy savings aligned with project goals.
- Reporting on engineering and requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
- Meeting quality and HSE objectives.
- Collaborating with other discipline engineers and project support functions.
- Supporting junior engineers and managing small requisitions as project manager.
- Contributing to department improvements, procedures, standards, and training.
- Observing HSEQ directives.
