Job Description for Specialist Engineer II ‐ Electrical

Job Purpose

Responsible for technical and procurement tasks, including expediting and quality control surveillance, of equipment and material requisitions, calculations, and analysis. This encompasses managing technical specifications to on-site delivery for standard equipment, as well as specific skid-mounted or modularized equipment for special applications.

Requirements & Experiential Learnings

  • B. Sc. in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design and project execution within oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries, including at least 3 years specifically in Oil & Gas.
  • Good knowledge of equipment and activities, with shop or site experience.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and calculation skills.
  • Knowledge of international standards such as IEEE, ANSI, IEC, NFPA, UL, and familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards including SA CMS.
  • Attention to detail and advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Basic, FEED, and Detail engineering, understanding workflow and inter-discipline dependencies.
  • Experience with ETAP power system studies.
  • Experience with 3D-model-centric projects.
  • Lean Six Sigma training.

  • Effective communication with vendors and technical follow-up on orders.
  • Adherence to project targets including technical robustness, budget, and schedule.
  • Proposing cost, schedule, and energy savings aligned with project goals.
  • Reporting on engineering and requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
