Job Description
Kimpton KAFD Riyadh is a luxurious 212-key hotel nestled in the heart of the King Abdullah Financial District. We pride ourselves on delivering unparalleled hospitality, offering five diverse dining options.
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Chef de Cuisine to lead our Specialty American Concept kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a profound passion for American cuisine, a creative flair, and the leadership skills necessary to drive our culinary team to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development: Design and curate an authentic and contemporary American menu that resonates with our guests, incorporating both classic and modern culinary techniques.
Kitchen Leadership: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high-quality food preparation. Lead, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste. Implement and uphold strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in compliance with local health regulations.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and liaise with suppliers to source the finest and freshest ingredients. Manage food costs and minimize waste through effective planning and forecasting.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and other department heads to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance guest satisfaction. Participate in menu tastings, promotional events, and contribute to marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a senior culinary role, with at least 2 years as a Chef de Cuisine or similar position in a high-end American cuisine restaurant.
Education: Culinary degree or equivalent professional training from a recognized institution.
Skills: Exceptional culinary skills with a deep understanding of American cooking techniques and trends. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Attributes: Creative, innovative, and passionate about culinary arts. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing guest preferences.
