Job Description

  1. Reporting directly to the Head Chef and Senior Kitchen Staff and deputising in their absence.
  2. Working with the Head Chef and Group Executive Chef to develop new menu ideas and ways to improve our offerings.
  3. Ensuring the food quality is always at its highest standard.
  4. Ensuring the performance of the chef team is of the highest standard by motivating and leading by example.
  5. Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control and ordering in conjunction with the Head Chef.
  6. Ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard.

The ideal candidate will have :

Experience within a high volume of kitchens.

Strong communication and leadership skills

  1. Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to the recipes and standards set by the head chef; ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  2. Station Management – oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station, maintain your designated area with supplies, and ensure cleanliness in line with policies and procedures.
  3. Quality Control – maintain high-quality standards for all dishes, ensuring presentation and taste are always considered.
  4. Team Collaboration – communicate positively and effectively with all other team members and assist/support colleagues where necessary. Coaching of junior chefs to support development.
  5. Menu Development – collaborate with the head chef to develop and taste new recipes, providing suggestions for improvement or innovation.
  6. Cleaning and Maintenance – maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including your designated area, ensuring equipment is in good working order.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience working as a Senior Chef De Partie, Junior Sous Chef, or similar role.
  2. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  3. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
