The Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in the culinary operations of our esteemed establishment in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As the right hand to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, and contributing to menu development. This role not only requires exceptional culinary skills but also strong leadership qualities to manage kitchen staff effectively.


Responsibilities


  1. Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.

  2. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

  3. Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards.

  4. Manage inventory and order supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.

  5. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and efficiency.

  6. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.

  7. Monitor food presentation and ensure consistency in taste and quality.

  8. Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs.

  9. Handle customer inquiries and feedback regarding food quality and service.

  10. Maintain a positive and productive work environment within the kitchen.
